About ABLE
Our mission is to provide high quality community-based services to adults with developmental disabilities. All services will be person centered and aide in the development of various skills necessary to become and maintain an active participant in their community. Our program will aid with volunteer opportunities, vocational training of their choice, and support to obtain paid employment if desired. Individuals will be empowered to take responsibility for their own needs and desires with confidence as part of their daily routine with support and guidance from staff.
With ongoing support every participant can obtain the skills necessary to succeed. They will learn and understand the importance of safety awareness, healthy relationships with appropriate boundaries, community integration, self-advocacy and self-care. Our staff will advocate for and respect personal choices while facilitating individualized supports necessary for consumers to remain an active part of their community.
About the Owner/Executive Director
Achievements Beyond Limited Expectations is a new company with over 17 years of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities. We currently have a successful agency that provides Independent and Supportive Living Services to adults in their own homes. I as the Owner and Executive Director have over 17 years of experience in the field as direct support, along with six years of management and the last four as an owner.
Although I enjoy all areas of working with adults with developmental disabilities I found my passion while working at a behavioral day program. During my first two years of being employed I held almost every position starting with Skill Development Therapist, Lead Therapist and Program Manager. I was also given the opportunity to assist with the opening of the new site as General Manager. I built great relationships and enjoyed every step of the way until starting our Supported and Independent Living Agency.
With our current agency striving, we decided to take the opportunity and start an Adult Day Program. Our goal is to offer opportunities and experiences to each participant so they may succeed in a person centered program. So yes, this may be a new company, but we have many years of experience and a true passion for what we do.
